Regarding options plays.... especially one-sided plays... I typically don't get into too many of these, but I can tell you I've had a good amount of the one-sided plays I choose, that launched within 10 trading sessions of the expiration.
If you can't hold through to the week of expiration because you are riled up, you have way too much into the play.
I'm not trying to be an ass about it, just stating what may be the case.

$AAPL feels like most of our football games this year

this is why I look at charts that are 30 min + 90% of the time. I occasionally look at 1 mins when trying to get an entry, but that was probably off the daily cue to do something.

My buy in average is 1.55.
If my shares are called away, they will be done at 5.53.
If they are not, I will have an average of 1.02 on half of my shares.
