I thinkMcInnis 03 said:1) If I sell $7.5 calls for $2.15 - In this instance, you have to deliver shares to the buyers of your calls if the close is $7.50 or above on expiration, or if exercised.Bob Knights Liver said:

If I sell $7.5 calls for $2.15 and $12.5 puts for $6.00 for March does that work? If it closes below $7.5 I buy shares for $4.35 net. If it closes between $7.5 and $12.5 I keep the premium. If it closes above $12.50 I turn around and buy shares to cover bit I'd come out ahead as long as I buy those for less that $20.65. In the meantime I get to keep the premium. Am I doing that right?
2) If I $12.5 puts for $6.00 for March - In this instance, if the close on March Expiry is below $12.50, you're taking possession and you need $1250 cash per put sold to cover this debt.
3) If it closes below $7.5 I buy shares for $4.35 net - No, you would be buying shares for $6.50 (12.50 put minus $6 in premium received).
It would be less the $6 premium recieved for the puts and less the $2.15 recieved for the calls, right? That's where I got the $4.35 number.
4) If it closes between $7.5 and $12.5 I keep the premium - No, you'd owe the call buyer 100 shares per call sold, and you'd be buying shares at $12.50 for ea put sold. I guess the put and call would offset but I would keep $6 premium + $2.15 premium - $5 difference in strike prices. So I'd keep $3.15 but wouldn't keep that whole premium.
5) If it closes above $12.50 I turn around and buy shares to cover bit I'd come out ahead as long as I buy those for less that $20.65 - Here you owe shares to the person paying you $7.50 ea, and if it's above $12.50 you're working at a loss as you got a total of $9.65 for each share (call + premium). You're right so here anything above $7.50 + $6 premium + $2.15 premium = $15.65 I would get taking a loss.
I think you may have calls and puts mixed up. Maybe you're thinking sell $7.50 puts and sell $12.50 calls.

Does that mean you sell 50% or less when the price has doubled what you bought in at and let the rest ride? You come out even with that 50% or less and then whatever is left turns a profit for you?KT 90 said:wangus12 said:
Is there a certain target for CIDM?
I have this in notes:
$CIDM - Alliance Global Partners reiterated Cinedigm (CIDM) coverage with a Buy and PT of $3
then this from OA a while back:Quote:
Roll on $CIDM! Let's see a repeat of that $5 run that sticks.
Same game plan as always on these small caps. You sell no more than 50% when you can get your investment
capital back and then forget it.

IF...UWMC slides to $10.30 I am a buyer and will pick up more shares.
Yes, that is the net free strategy. A lot of folks on here got in sub $1.00 (around .70 or so), so that is why this is already a net free holding for some on here.wangus12 said:Does that mean you sell 50% or less when the price has doubled what you bought in at and let the rest ride? Did you do anything with your 110's? or leaving them be for now?McInnis 03 said:Reality. No way this itty bitty test should push this to $138 and hold it. Time for model Trally-cap said:

I added a few March calls here as I already have shares. My initial cost basis on the shares I am still green. But I don't trust anything right now. If we have VIX spike then I get paid. If not then a sacrificial insurance.Bob Knights Liver said:PearlJammin said:

It decays, so if the VIX does anything but go up, UVXY will go down. Not discouraging you from hedging or playing the downside but wanted to make sure you understood these inverse or leveraged ETSs decay.
well, I rolled them up to 130's this morning for a little less than I got for them, so my premium intake wasn't good, but I got the higher strike to hedge off of. This pull back should take care of the rest.Mr President Elect said:Did you do anything with your 110's? or leaving them be for now?McInnis 03 said:Reality.
