You're right. It looks like only webull let's you trade earlier. The major brokerage firms don't allow it before 7am eastern. I guess I can sleep in later while the institutions bid up the stock price for three hours.

IBKR does as well. I'm guessing there are also others.

Why do I feel like the hedge funds are Nero watching Rome burn? Yeah they are losing their ass on the short squeezes but the revenge they get is selling the winners (aapl, tsla, roku, etc) everyone holds to cover their dues.

After a discussion with a lobbyist on Friday, I think our correction comes sooner and it will be harsh, IMO.

Then if you thought the Feds/Treasury response to Covid was wild. Just wait!

I think volatility will be a good instrument on this one.

Did the calcs on short term volatility and UVXY may finish this week in the low to mid 20s. With a February high of 50-55ish.

All my opinion and I don't want anyone trading anything they don't understand. I'm dumping another large block into UVXY Monday.

Can't go wrong with SPY puts. We were talking worst case S&P and we compromised on SPY 1500. I said 2000 and he said 740.

Stock Experts, wanted to get your thoughts on this one. Since it's a clean energy company I figured supreme leader Biden may be helping them out with his plethora of EO's in the coming days. They seem to have some solid volume.

CETY- Hit $.15 on 1/26/21 up from $.02 in DEC, back down to $.09 now.



Here is another one I am watching.

ENDV- Last February Volume was at 120,000 at a price of $3.65, then got down to just 4,000 in volume, and is now trending upward in volume again at 1.6 million at a price of $.05.

Trade wars are good and easy to win

If we're talking about oil embargoes i don't see how that doesn't light a bonfire on our domestic production, create tons of jobs (especially with increased regulations), and generally stimulate all parts of the economy that don't rely on cheap petroleum feedstock to support already thin margins.

If we're talking about fed rate increases i don't understand how that is even on the table until 2023.

What am i missing?

(Regardless i am going to get more disciplined with spxs hedges, and protective puts on my cash secured puts, and especially since i watched the big short last night and it brought back some nasty memories)

That would literally be democrat political suicide. There's no way that happens without the democrats going so far left that longer term it probably means that the GOP cleans up in midterms

So it would really suck but would probably end up being a blessing in disguise longer term

Yeah, I've made that clear. I AM NOT A PERMA-BEAR.

Part of this forum is offering opinions and occasionally sticking your neck out there. This is mine. I'd love to be wrong for the sake of the novices in the market who may not be tooled to trade a volatile market.
