I made the move last March from RH to IBKR. If I remember correctly, I moved cash to my bank and stocks to IKBR. I kept RH so I could sell options when I wanted rather than at that time. It took a few days for most stocks to transfer and a little longer for ONTX. But I am old and it has been almost a year, so I may be off a little on this.

How does everybody play hedges? I currently have SPX/QQQ Puts that I bought when the market hit 385 on the SPY and 330 on the QQQ.

Do you normally sell these Puts on up days like today, booking the profit, then buy them back on another day? I'm hesitant to sell them because that would open me up to a market drop before I could buy back in.

Just looking to see what a good strategy is for buying/selling hedges.

You can "roll" the calls forward (i.e. longer expiry and/or higher strike) and sometimes pocket more premium for it, but i usually just let them get called away and take it as a win

I'm all RED today. Trying to get a feel if this is a bear trap or correction.
I may buy heavier and try to average down on some shares if this looks short term.
