I always buy at least 2 when doing leaps, then sell 1 on the double to go net free and let the rest ride to eternity. I would buy more contracts in multiples of 2 if I had the capital, but leaps can be expensive.Shundere said:

Great question. When I go LEAPS I usually do so really believing in the underlying stock, so I have a mass accumulation approach kind of similar to stocks. So I DO always sell 50% when doubled. Sometimes you get fortunate with a premarket/postmarket spike that holds into the open to recalculate the % to sell. Obviously you take the smallest % to be net free possible.Shundere said:
