Yep that is the strategy.. If you are new to options there are many factors at play with volatility, date, intrinsic value, premium decay, etc. The option premium can at times have dramatic fluctuations intraday on price so an understanding of the underlying (share) price support and resistance levels is important to know.

If we get into a serious correction stocks will revisit their deepest support lows, so just realize that on large and even most small caps. WWR $4.37 was hit Dec 16. That's the kind of move one might expect to see. I have a lot of those $7.50 covered calls others have spoken about as well. Long term fine but shouldn't be shocked or surprised to see some real pain attempt by markets if a correction goes full blown.

All joking aside, this is really starting to have the same feel as January 2018. I'm fine with a melt up over the next 2-3 weeks to SPX 4000 followed by a nice correction back down to 3500 or so. Heck even BTC is acting the same.

Yes sir... I don't own any shares of $WWR yet but sold a ton (for me) of 1/15 $5 puts last week avg $.61.

They will adjust at the same ratio so would now be $40.00 calls.

When the reverse split happens it corrects your options at same same rate.

You will not be economically affected. They adjust the strike price and perform contract adjustments that will make sure you're whole.
