3C, man if I were you I wouldn't have any open call positions before I set sail. Trade while you're home for a while and when you've got to leave have your account loaded with long holdings with sold covered calls a month + out if appropriate to reap premiums, or sell a bunch of cash covered puts a month + out to keep your cash busy. You could also have some mass accumulation plays set up I suppose. And I wouldn't go speculative at all on those long holdings. OSTK is about as risky as I'd go. You don't want to come home to any surprises. Fun to think you might come home rich but it's a marathon not a lotto ticket (yeah I know the analogy doesn't work...)

I know at least one poster went met free. I took a little off last night when it hit $37,000. I have been consistently putting money into it for a while and just got a nice chunk from a payment a couple of weeks back.

I was going to wait on the payment till it dipped but luckily wiser minds on here talked me out of it. At the time it was $29,000. No dip really happened except during the middle of the night and it flashed to around $28,000.

I hadn't decided yet and will see what the action looks like early today.

For me on the most recent share purchase with cost basis in the $4.80s/.90s, I really want to keep the shares but will part with them for a double+ within 40 days on the Feb calls so will take a lower premium on cost basis reduction and shorter timeline. I can always resell them again after expiration. If I was north of $5 on costs basis I would probably sell the $7.50s.

I will also look at the May 12.50s since those are juiced up a bit. If they got called away in May for $12.50 plus the premium having a cost basis below $5 and getting $13.50+ isn't anything to sneeze at..

Chances are pretty high the 10s and 12s expire worthless and I keep the shares.

Edit: I will see if we get some buying action mirroring premarket to get the share price to $5.30s+ before selling calls most likely. Maximize it as much as possible.
