They do cause the price to drop. Dilutes existing shareholders.

Probably because it's easier to trade with more traditional brokers? Not only is there a premium, but there's also a 2% annual fee.

Desks and MM's make too much money on the arbitrage created when they process trades. We will not see anything that can't be worked around on the street.

Dems take a lot of WS money to keep their grimy mitts off their golden goose. Secondarily, they get fed opportunities to be in IPO's and lots of inside info with which to position themselves by the big banks.

Some things will change but, I think they like the idea of continually sending money to people who gamble that money in the market and give it back to the banks that back them.

BTC over $35,000.

In slightly better news, Bitcoin is now up past $35K. I expect GBTC to be around $41-42 tomorrow. Maybe more.

Anything with a recognizable name is DOWN (aapl, amzn, nvda, not you tsla) but boy did SNDL shoot up

I bet sales of firearms and ammo will go through the roof for a few quarters or maybe through the year.

Immediate concern for the markets will be if dems follow through with raising the corporate tax back to 28% in Biden's first 100 days as he's stated he wants to do.

If they do, corporations will more than likely reduce their cap ex and investment, and maybe even start downsizing their payrolls. It's about to get a little dicey IMO.

Obviously results will send panic in firearms realm (and an increase in unfortunate boating accidents resulting in loss of cargo) however with the numbers obama had in first 2 years he could have passed anything but nothing came of it in this arena. Also with lack of in-person schooling the "never let a crisis go to waste" threat is much lower.

So from market stand point not sure if there is a play or not.

I don't see that happening until unemployment improves. They aren't going to raise taxes yet.

Should be a pretty nice catalyst for DKNG

Word from my wallstreet friend is that many expect the Dems to pass more stimulus. Lots of corporate debt is being generated. He says a lot of people on wallstreet are bullish. My friend isn't as bullish as his peers are.

I get the feeling 2021 will be a bullish market long term. I could see Biden coming in and trying to push for another lockdown (unsure how successful), but then they'll throw so much money around and try to reopen to help create this perception that he's righted the ship. Then post 21 you may start seeing their attempts to increase taxes and regulations.
