Just to clarify for the class....

Someone locked up $28MM in capital or margin to take in $400K in premium, which they then immediately pumped into another $1.22MM in purchases of $10 wide call spreads that would return about 3x at full money.

That seems like a pretty strong bullish bias.
At one time earlier this year, I had some PENN shares at $7.75... that I sold at $16.63.
I bet most have all (myself included) done that more than once. That is the beauty of the net free game IMO. Pretty much most of what I target when I buy shares now and then use calls on half to lower my cost basis. Just really beginning that strategy though.

Options noob... should have said Sold them at $2.25 and bought back at $0.80.

Fairly low for SPY. Daily volume as of now is 47.5M (daily avg is 73.5M)

Can someone provide an example of the percentage hedge you would play here? I understand Carter's method says to buy a Delta 30 SPY Put 60-90 days out but what do you use for position size?

I don't know but it's still going up. I thought it was oversold last week when BTC dipped but man it came back. I thought BTC would have to be over $20,000 for it to stay above $6. I was VERY wrong.

They also spit the business. AIV got 10% and AIRC got the other 90%, that explains the monster drop off.
