Got out of MARA around 2. Lesson learned.
Why you convert to options only for now. Bull leg post election was expected, it's just not a regular election so you have to be nimble.Barty said:

Can someone verify my math please? If I bought 100 ENG shares at 2.04, and sold 1 Dec 2.50 call for .7, my effective cost basis is 1.34. If I get called out, i would receive $250. Thus my profit would be $250-134 = $116?

I'm buying MARA $4 Jan Puts just because these spikes have never held.

I bought some shares of mara yesterday even though it had already gained a lot. I still made some money on them. should I sell for the small profit I made and buy this put?
or hold my shares and just hedge with the put?

I had accumulated a lot in the $1.70s/$1.80s and have been profit taking along the way. Will probably dump the rest of it today at some point especially if its over $6.15. I think puts are the way to go now on it.
Maybe a $5 put if it pops at the beginning and options price is taking a hit
IDEX is mirroring the same scenario as ENG right now, I think im going to just let them both play out at this point because Im pretty sure if i tried to make some moves wether buying back CCs and reselling them etc im sure to screw it up or miss time it
You could also sell covered call with a premium on them. The March $9 will probably be above $1.50 at the open I would guess.gigemJTH12 said:

I'd use the sell the $9 covered call and use the premium to buy the $5 Put. Love that at this level. But this thing could launch anywhere or tank. Lot of energygigemJTH12 said:

You mentioned a play last week. I can't remember what it was though. It may have been the SDC one. You said something along the lines of it could be over $2 soon but with so much time left, it could easily see $6 or $7 each at some point. Any chance you remember which play that was in reference to?
