I've got enough to fully hedge if we have a crash between now and Jan. I'm not buying anymore right now. As others have said this small loss in order to keep keep comfortable investing in other upside is more than worth it but I'm not using it as a trade.

For those of us not trading options isn't there an ETF or stock we can buy that has same effect? Pretty sure I recall seeing something like that on here within last few weeks but searching spxs pulls up waaaaay too many results to sort thru.
Typically a long buyer but like this idea. My account is cap gains but if these gain market is down and would have losses to offset. Or if market is up have this to offset gains
You should be able to buy the SPXS symbol. Now is as good a time as any to buy them as they are cheap. About $4.38. I own shares of it in my tax deferred account and options in my cap gains account.

Appreciate this info. I don't do options but have been looking for a good way to hedge. Bought some at 4.48

Happy NIO earnings day, everyone. I assume most rational people are looking at this morning's chart and tempering expectations accordingly, but I chose to Leroy Jenkins my way into some more shares instead. ATVI pattern says breakout of the channel coming to upside. I'd go out to Dec 18 and target $82.50 on this consolidation from early jump.

You just gave me a little idea. I think I'll collar some shares. Buy the shares, sell a covered call a month or so out, and buy a protective put for Friday.

Bought 200 shares
Sold 2 DEC 4 52C's for $4.30 ea
Bought 2 NOV20 46.5P's for $4 ea.

Looks like it is trying to fill the gap down to 45, and then next supports below that would be ~42 and then ~40?

Be aware, the Moderna vaccine does not need the same cryo storage requirements that the Pfizer vaccine needs. This is going to put give the MRNA vaccine an edge in the marketplace and could potentially affect the CYRX play IMO. I'm sure Ranger can chime in with his thoughts too.

Hearing some thoughts that the MRNA is going to be distributed to more rural areas that dont have the infrastructure already in place whil the PFE could be in larger metro areas with established medical centers that could handle the storage requirements and easier to get people to return for the second dose

Went 200 SDC calls. 150 of the Jan 15 $11 and 50 of the Jan 15 $10. No firm target other than trading to be net free and hold.

Watching how it reacts to the 21 day

If it fails here its back to 40

I'm not adding / starting new position here. Maybe at 40. I have my piece I'm good with.

I refuse to pronounce it any other way in my head as well. I was aged out of FUBU but remember seeing the kids wearing FUBU shorts where the legs were as big around as the waist.

RKT hit exactly the last high resistance at $22.99 from 11/9. No print at $23 tells you some volume resistance there. Hard to not magnet flash on the big round number as you guys know.
