Is anyone else concerned about the COVID surge we're seeing around the country and the potential for more lockdowns? I'm thinking about some SPXS Jan calls as a hedge here.
Blow off top on NIO. If you had plans to bank some massive gains for this year and potentially avoid a capital gains increase next then get on it.

Personally concerned about the increase in cases, no. We're testing at least 5x more than we were back in March/April so the cases may be higher than then, but that's due to increased testing. We also know how to treat it better and what groups are most at risk. The death rate is only continuing to fall so it's really not a significant concern for me personally.Boat Shoes said:

Assuming Biden does end up in office like expected, then I 100% anticipate a forced lockdown again even though the vaccine will be being distributed at that point. Big brother is going to get more involved in how they impact our day to day lives which will inevitably impact the economy and market again.

IMO no. Bio spec play that ebbs and flows from low .20s to .40. Have cash on hand into 1st QTR 22. Multiple products in their pipeline and one of those that can pop at any moment. I took some cheap lotto NIO $47 Puts early $0.16 and they are now $0.93. I cashed in all but 10%.
I already have some net RKT Calls but would yal think this is another entry point into it?

I grabbed 100 of both and sold ITM covered calls for Nov 20. The premiums on both were so high I couldn't resist.
Then yesterday, I sold an ITM cash-covered put for both.
Working great so far, but I'm lolpoor so this level of equity exposure to just two names has me nervous.

I hear what you're saying regarding testing but I don't think that will stop the calls from the elected officials for another lockdown. There were definitely some businesses that barely made it through the last go around (and a lot that didn't). I can't imagine what the economy would look like after a true nationwide 4-6 week shutdown as one of Biden's advisors was proposing.
