Excellent info, thanks! I think my biggest problem right now is account size, I'd really like to stick to my rule of no more than 5% in play on any one trade which would necessitate a $10k options account. I don't have that much I've put up solely for options as I'm playing long term holds as well, so I need to focus on building my account. Right now with the size's I'm putting up, I'm not opening enough contracts to leg out like I want to.

You can do it with smaller amounts as well just have to pick and choose which ones work for you. Maybe its buying 3 contracts and working to leg out the first 2.jwhitlock3 said:

As an example you could have bought RKT 12/18 $25 calls for <$1 and probably executed this approach with $500 in a cash account. Another would have been the SPXS 1/15 $6c yesterday that hit .22/.23 and today were running .32/.34.
The hard part for me is I want to play more of them than I can or have time to keep up with.

Thing you gotta remember about RKT -- its got a pretty good short %, think its around 20-30%. Gotta wonder if anyone will start covering after this report and buyback announcement. Maybe not a pop immediately after earnings, but could be a good move higher in next couple weeks. I think ~$25 is right.
Not too concerned about how it is trading -- I said a few days ago its going to 22 then going to consolidate a bit before moving higher, and that is how it has played out this week although a bit more volatile with election news and broader market retracing.
I don't get the buyback tho.....immediate buyback after an IPO? A dividend on this thing would be really sweet and I thought a better direction if they are comfortable with profits every quarter going forward....

I personally think that this is a good strategy to reduce the float from over 100 mil shares to half that. This will end up burning shorts in the ass given the high short interest and ratio as we will have more buyers come in with higher volatility given the float is cut in half. Really think it plays out well for long term holders.

I have never tried it since they are rental properties (VRBO types) for us, but we have Nest thermostats, camera's, etc. and have liked their performance for us to adjust, monitor, etc. via their app. They make a doorbell camera so may be an option.Esteban du Plantier said:

GE - If you picked up any of the 1/15 10c yesterday might keep on an eye on those at the open. May get a little gap up at the open and leg out the first part if that is your strategy.
