Good ole NIO looks absolutely locked and loaded again. Next leg up could easily go 30+ and look a lot like the WKHS breakout.

I added a couple cheap SPY calls out to 9/25 (decent likelihood we run Monday after funds rebalance this week)...

also CAT looks super strong, primed to rip again, Oops ripping now!

Also in a couple OSTK spreads out to next week, looks primed also.

I'm waiting another hour or so due to real work. Also note that it isn't called Happy Hour here... they call it "Drinks after work" because "Why would there only be one hour? Drinks after work is intended to last at least 4 or 5 hours so it shouldn't be called that!" I really can't argue with that...

Thanks. Don't normally follow or 'play' penny stocks like this one. But might just for fun.

they're worse than yolo options, if only due to the fact that they never disappear, just stay in your account taunting you forever as their value drops to less than the 6.95 it costs to sell an OTC

OK, so I did this as a two lot iron fly on QQQ for $2.35 in credit:
  • sold 270 call
  • sold 270 put
  • bought 274 call
  • bought 266 put

Have $1.20 target to buy back.

Sold my ONTX today for a very small gain. Sure beats a 30% loss which is what it was when it tanked to $.19. Will consider reloading at low 20s.

So I'm dumb and a newbie.

I sold my PINS October 39c a few days ago when it was really choppy, decided to get out with decent profit.

Then it looked like it was headed north again a day or so later, so I bought those same calls back for a bit more than I sold them.

Now it's looking nasty again. Do I get out with 25% loss, or wait it out a few days? I'm thinking it's gonna rebound eventually, but really don't want to watch the contracts go to zero.

Advice?

What should I do?

I own Apple stock and have for years and have quite a big unrecognized gain on it. As it rallied pre split, I bought some oct and nov puts at various strikes. (Now 87.5, 100 and 112.5)

I like Apple long term and really the puts were as a hedge.

As we get closer to expiration, do I roll the puts out ? If so, pay more premium for the same strike, or accept a lower strike for even premium?

Do I allow the options to exercise? And recognize there long term gains

Do I sell the puts and wait for another rally and buy them again?

I hear you. This is a small account for me to learn options, so I'm generally putting a large % of the total value into each trade. I'm not afraid to lose the money, but would like it to be successful.

I think if I was trading with a lot more money, it would be much easier with the ability to do more day trades and diversify more.
