Cross posted from the longer term thread...

Just increased my CWH here in the 30.xx's by 70% to max out what I'm willing to have in it. Clear reversal setup on both daily and hourly. Also an inverse H&S set up on the daily as long as 29 isn't breached.

30 tested 3 times and held in the past 2 days. Good enough for me. Planning to hold for awhile with some covered call sells if it gets some explosion move back up. Now time to sit back and quit worrying about it.

I'm rolling over an old 401K with a significant sum of money into a Traditional IRA so I can have better control. Consider this a poll......

I'm 39 years old. What would some of your allocations be. Retirement style, not aggressive shoot the moon style. Don't YOLO TSLA me.

I'm in a similar position and was looking at some of the ARK offerings, you get the yolo TSLA holdings with some other stuff mixed in, and hopefully the whole thing doesn't tank

Also 39. I have brokerage link through both my current and old 401k's so I can manage. Also have a Roth IRA.

I have about 35% of retirement in mutual funds (S&P + blue chip) and that's where maxed 401k contributions and matching is going every 2 weeks. That 35% was over 50% before I started actively managing, and I have made a lot of mistakes so I bet you will end up being happy with this decision in the long run.

I currently own the following single stocks in retirement accounts (not a recommendation buy now except for CWH):

ROKU
NIO
SQ
JD
AMD
CWH

I came up with a plan before doing this where I had half, single and double positions based on conviction. Luckily ROKU, NIO and JD were my double convictions. Not exactly science but single position was about 5%.

This CWH move this week has been textbook:

  • Sell off great news (classic trapped short move to escape especially in a relatively low volume stock)
  • Capitulation drop open on Day 3 (today)
  • Clear quick reversal around established support
  • Takes back and holds previous day's low

Not 100% out of the woods now but highly likely. Could always be a trap, but odds are either at least a 50% retracement back up around 33-34 or steady back to retest 38 resistance to go to 40+

Seriously, I have some ideas, obviously A+ names like the MSFT's, AAPL's, AMZN's of the world. I love the ARK funds as Cathie seems to be a star. Just wanted input from y'all as there have been some under the radar wonders here.

Make sure you get covered call ability in the IRA if you can. It's amazing not having to worry about getting called out and tax implications...

Can't really predict the direction until they start firing, but obviously PINS is strong like bull.
