Do people still buy stocks that aren't tech companies?
Is this correct? I thought that was for market options not specific company options?topher06 said:Options close at 3:15pm Central. Maybe. Just ignore what I said, I don't trade that late so I really don't know.Aggiesincebirth said:Is this correct? If so then maybe it can close above and then tank after hours for me.
A select few indices options trade until 3:15pm CT. The stock options stop at 3:00pm CT prompt.Aggiesincebirth said:Is this correct? Take the shares brahmaroon19 said:
Advice needed: currently holding a single covered call for MSFT (6/19 $195). Strike price is $195.89 and stock price is currently above that. Given this holds at the open tomorrow, would it be better if I sell the call for a profit or just take the shares? I currently have some shares in MSFT so it wouldn't hurt either way but I am just trying to figure out the smart play here
Almost exactly. Guessing we will see volatility return to the market starting Monday.topher06 said:
Let's see if the big money can pin closing right at last closing price.
All the options expiring on the same day. Index futures, index options, stock options, and single-stock optionstsuag10 said:
Can someone please explain "quad witching", or "witching"?
Is it normally negative, positive or flat?IrishTxAggie said:
This is how they're supposed to do quad witching!! two days in a row of this ****
Considering all the OI on the index ETFs going both ways, they're pinning the **** out of people and destroying the premium. I don't expect much tomorrow up until the last hour. Robinhood automatically sells their account holders day of options if they can't cover being issued. It's going to send a bunch of stuff up in smoke!topher06 said:Is it normally negative, positive or flat?IrishTxAggie said:

Interesting. When do they sell them? End of day I assume?IrishTxAggie said:Considering all the OI on the index ETFs going both ways, they're pinning the **** out of people and destroying the premium. There were actually some algos built around it that would bottom scoop the **** out of the holders. Not sure if RH fixed that. Was quite entertaining to see those Twitter complaints!AgEng06 said:
Got it, thanks. I don't use RH, I was just curious.
