Article mentions $600 a week extra on top of state benefits for 4 months. For example, my wife would get the max $500 a week in Texas if she was laid off. That would jump to about $4,400 a month for 4 months under the plan. After taxes/401k/insurance at her salary, she brings home $4,200 a month.
So, she would technically be a wash for 4 months being employed vs unemployed, taking out $200 for being added on to my company insurance if I did the math right. I know her job is taking a physical and emotional toll on her. That's the tough part. Always better to have a job.
