Mine expire Apr 3 so I'm staying in. This is a bull trap and will tank once main street is disappointed with their stimulus allotment. More cash is going to fill the swamp than actually help the average joe. That plus exclusive online shopping will continue to depress consumer confidence. $1200 might also just be enough to cover rent and expenses for the month in most cases but it wont be disposable income needed to stimulate anything.

While some may end up taking more home than they would working, I don't know how fast they'll be receiving that money. One article I saw said by the end of 2020. That would be pretty much useless if you have to wait 7-9 months to get paid. If the rollout of payments is a cluster **** (which it likely will be since it's the government), that could cause a lot of other issues.claym711 said:

But I do wonder... I haven't filed 2019 yet, and my 2018 income qualifies, but my 2019 income doesn't qualify. If I get a check in the mail based on my 2018 income, are they going to reconcile the numbers later once I file 2019 and then do something like increase my taxes in 2020 since I shouldn't have gotten a check?

I feel like I need to sell all of my long holds since everything is green from recent purchases, knowing the real bottom is still in the future, but I just can't shake the idea that the market is so effed up we might have already hit bottom.

It's interesting for sure. Since 2018, we had a kid and my wife had to quit her job to take care of him as he can't be in daycare. Her loss of salary and our son are not accounted for at all.
