Added more BSX today. If it breaks and holds above $51 it is going to be off to the races looking for $57 before simmering down for another buying opportunity.

So quiet in here today. Keep a close eye on 711.50 on the QQQ.

I bought some RYN and WY in the IRA today.

Looking to add positions to non IT/AI plays, do yall like insurance or healthcare sector better in mid/long term? Specifically eyeing these 4: ALL, TRV, LLY, CAH. Any feedback is appreciated!

I have way too much avgo but I decided to lotto a couple Friday 430 calls. If they knock it out of the park and gap through 430 it should make a run for 495 (or even 530) quick

For about 6 months you buy at $70 and sell at $75 about every month or if your feeling frisky wait for it to hit $76.50

Only took 5 trading days this time!

Solid move for the QQQ into the close. Still a lower-high, lower-low day. Be interesting to see what happens in the ME overnight.

GOF under investigation. Again I think unless I'm thinking of another big fund. Anyway, took a hit recently.

I had quite a large position. And sold it recently. Loss wasn't too bad bc of the dividends I've collected, but it wasn't ideal. I couldn't be holding that once the news started coming out about the CEO. Fraud everywhere else and I'm supposed to believe GOF is clean? Lol

The QQQ Daily BB and 100MA will be YUGE today. If there is weakness in those, there is potential for a lot of selling pressure.

My recommendations:
- Don't try to catch a falling knife. If you want to try reversals, look for confirmations to reclaim MAs before buying and keep your stops tight because if they fail, it can be very aggressive.
- Don't short the open. Suggest waiting 30mins or taking a rejection off the 50MA if it gets there.

This has to be the fakeout before the breakout right? Hi everyone, it's September of a midterm year, please panic on this low volume drop and sell all your cheaper shares to us before we get on the turbo escalator!!!

August had the lowest volume since 2005, I believe. NVDA has sold off almost all of its ER gains. QQQ is below the 50. September is historically the worst-performing month.

I'm not saying an escalator isn't possible, but the tea leaves in front of us right now don't point to that.

The main reason I am skeptical of a drop is that retail sentiment is really low right now, and institutional sentiment is neutral to slightly bearish. That is not the typical recipe for a significant correction. The market is also overpricing the likelihood of a rate hike in my opinion.

I see the fed waiting until December to take any action unless PCE comes in higher than expected in September, which I see as low probability based on current projections.

Sitting at ~66% of a 25bps bump on 9/16 as of now and this time it isn't Ken Griffin pumping that. Warsh wasn't exactly warm and fuzzy at Jackson Hole last week on the topic. Even with a 10% drawdown from the ATH in June, we would still be at 10%+ on the year.

We also just launched against Iran again for the first time in 3 weeks, so still some uncertainty on what the goat ****ers may try in the near term.

I take your point. My take is that if Warsh and the other 8 fed voting members could not support an August hike he won't be ready to vote for a September hike in the face of falling PCE - I guess that is my point and why I don't really pay much credence to cheap talk. I believe they will eventually consider a hike if core PCE stops falling and reverses the other way or stalls at the same levels for about 3 straight months. Short of that, they won't want to be seen as political and hiking into the midterm.

Add to that Iran is already showing signs they are willing to capitulate with their president coming out and basically requesting a resumption of the June MOU.

I'm still not so sure we see rate hikes. H-A has made a pretty strong case against the Fed dropping interest rates as well. I just don't believe it. I think we print or die.

Like you, I also am not convinced we will see any hikes either, especially once the new PCE calculation comes out at the end of this month and shows the numbers are lower than have been reported due to previous overweighting software and infrastructure, among other things (I am not debating the merits of that, just stating the obvious that this is what is expected to happen when they change the calculation in 4 weeks).

When core PCE is suddenly labeled as 3.1 or 3.0 YOY here in a couple months and decreasing with each monthly report, I think they stay the course with holds until the rate gets stuck for 3-4 months.

They will look pretty stupid if they hike soon and then the core PCE is printing in the high 2s with core CPI in the low 2s within a couple months because it will start to look like they're overshooting the wrong way. The reality is the fed has screwed the world over the past few decades, but this can still has plenty of kicks left in it.

They can try and drop. But it would have to be partnered with FED QE to buy bonds and cap yields.

There is no recipe for a cut. The economy is apparently resilient with higher rates. Unemployment is apparently near historical lows. Inflation isn't being caused by demand or energy prices. It's being caused by an expansion of the money supply. Cutting into that only makes the money supply expand further, which would mean more inflation. Stimulating demand at a time when the problem is monetary supply is the equivalent of trying to get a child to focus by giving him sugar.

As far as a hike, the FED is already behind the ball. They are praying their mildly hawkish yapping can do the work they are scared to do with an actual hike. This is because the FED ALWAYS follows and lags the bond market. They clearly see the trend. They clearly know the issues. They know they have zero tools to stop government spending and that the administration in charging is trying to grow out of a problem no amount of growth can beat. They only act when there is no other options left and they can't fool the public any longer while waiting for things to turn in their favor. Again.. "transitory". They knew that was bull***** But hiking is something they never want to do. They avoid it until they can't and will make up any excuse they can. If the bond market continues to call their bluff at a time when inflation is still rising, and against Bessent's interventions, they risk another 2022 (this happened in the 70's as well when inflation roared back stronger after the FED had already claimed early victory).

All of this while there is still a demand for dollars that are becoming increasingly hard to get. The world needs them to transact. We don't have a repo market blowup like we did in 2019, but the recipe is there for one to happen.

I don't see the bond market cooling down on its own. It's going to take financial repression to do that job. And that requires the FED and QE. And unlke previous times of QE, the economy cannot support the hyperinflation that it would cause. It would not end up like what we saw after 2008 and 2020. Quit the opposite.

QQQ 100ma has moved up to 704.30. Wouldn't mind seeing a flush through that and a gap close at 701.60 before trying to reverse.

DELL selling ~35pts off opening highs. Not seeing anything worth trying to get long on right now.

Decent-sized after-the-close ERs today with AVGO, HPE, and SNOW.
