Yes. He's using the federal reserve office and chair to make a personal statement against the administration to garner public support. Whether he's right or wrong he is infact making it overtly political while saying he's politically neutral. I don't think it's a good look. He should instead have his plethora of lawyers release a statement etc and go about defending him in this indictment. If it proves to be a bunch of BS and an absurd political pressure by Trump administration that will be proved out and they will bear the stain of it.

Nah, most people will side with Powell on this. Not a good look for trump to go after him.

That very well may have been the case. But it would have been better to not say anything. His appeal to public opinion is very cringy. What benefit does it serve?

It's dumb for both sides to be doing this, period. Powell is virtually out the door anyhow. (Supposedly) polls keep showing dems gaining ground little by little for midterms. Now, if true, and if there is nothing to this, it's def a bad look on Trumps part.

Then they should have built a complex somewhere in middle America. The fact it's in DC is a big negative for many employees trying to make a living, anyway.

For example, when my was wife in the running for a federal govt ALJ position- we would have moved anywhere but the very highest cost of living places- because the salary in those places didn't make sense.
