now basically EVERY Youtube equity podcaster

is promoting their own "how to trade on margin with options and puts" courses!

they started out just offering free podcasts about how to analyze the stock market.

as if all the dummies watching these podcasts are savvy enough to understand how to outearn the SP 500 or NASDAQ.

we have now officially entered the "my uber driver says to buy Bloom Energy" phase of the market cycle!

Ha, I actually heard about BE yesterday via a podcast. Wasn't familiar with Chris Camillo, but he's the one that mentioned it. I haven't looked into BE in depth at all yet though.

I do think energy over the next 5-10 years are going to be huge wins overall, just have to pick a few that will give you the best chance at a huge return. (OKLO, NNE, SMR, BE, etc)

I really like Tom Lee
but three days ago he stated he saw the bottom for BTC at $97K

i started positions with Dominion and Constellation about 6 months ago. hopefully the buildout of data centers will continue based on what Jensen stated last night

looks like we are going to be in a correction market for the next few months until Powell is replaced and rate cuts start coming in.

Retail dip buyers coming in, not sure it'll work out for them in the last 15 minutes of the trading day.

I have a crypto bucket I plan to ride till the end. I figure I'll either make a ton or lose 5% thats my crypto bucket.

Im riding ETH and BMNR out but sold half my BTC before the dip around 102K and have started slowly buying back lower

Just curious why this would cause the market to crash if the Fed announcement is on Dec-10.

There is quite literally only ONE headline that can even be partially blamed for such a sudden market crash.

At 11:20 AM ET, the US Labor Department said the November and October employment "situation" will be released on December 16th.

We now know that the Fed is effectively entering another interest rate decision with an economic data blackout.

Heading towards a shortened trading week with light volumes I don't know why someone would want to get in now given this action.

Everyone chasing headlines, you will always be misled.

NVDA earnings gapped up on algo volume. The initial selling after the first high was roughly the same volume as the gap up. Algos pumped it, retail jumped it, then algos exited with fresh cash. Retail buyers trapped and didnt know it. All within the context of an SPX that had previously just broken and important daily MA. Volatility stayed above support this morning with insane short exposure. Beach ball being held underwater. Once it popped, there were no buyers to catch the equities. Liquidity still on the sideline.

Get ready for the loud doom music and slashing bears on CNBC, with "MARKET SELL-OFF" all night.

For the South Carolina game, I stopped watching the game and just checked the score on my phone on the CBS Sports app at halftime. I also had my girlfriend's purple headphones on because I was watching/listening on the phone in a public place. I gave them back and told her they were bad luck at half-time.

I'm gonna go home and burn those purple headphones.

Well, SPX and Nasdaq closed on their 100 DMA. We either bounce here or we retest the 200 DMA.

Will be surprised if any sort of bounce starts before mid-day tomorrow. Might even wait until Monday. And I wouldn't get too giddy on that bounce. Like I said earlier today, this is likely whiplash until month end or first week of Dec. 6400 is definitely on the table the way today closed.

If S&P doesn't hold here, will be looking for around 6180 support if things get extreme. Low volume nodes between here and there though.

A -3.5% intraday swing is quite extreme, especially this close to ATH. Haven't pulled numbers but know it's rare as we had one of these before the tariff crash

Aye, same boat. Did a major restructuring of my Roth I had been planning for weeks now, trimming here and there to free up some cash as well. Even waited a bit this morning to make sure we were truly trending north. Truly, the epitome of buy high and sell low. Made my buys and half hour later got my ass blasted wide open.

Normally, I stay pretty lighthearted about these things but this one was genuinely frustrating. I think it's because I actually tried this time. Like, truly tried. I'll just try to take the lessons from this....whatever they were.
