Because the QQQ was up ~12% from 9/1-10/31.

It needs to take a break and do some backtesting on supports. ~605 is the 50DMA and will probably test that before further expansion. If it gives that up, looking at ~585.

Anyone playing TSSI earnings today? I have a small position that I am considering doubling going into earnings. As with all these AI stocks they will probably beat on earnings and drop 10% in price.

I may pickup more FIG today, but I believe POWL goes to $275 or less so I'm going to wait on rebuying it.

ETA: I'm also looking at adding more SMR possibly today.

I hate to say it, I don't think we will get a bounce today. Seems like everytime things try to buy, more is sold right after. Just can't get any traction at all.

one thing to consider is that HEALTH CARE just hit an all time high as so many have been rotating out of "risky" tech into "safer" health care

that could be what is crushing the Mag7 and tech this week.

also some Japanese tech giant reported lower growth last night.

and the remarks by the Atlanta Fed who is retiring that he does not support a December Fed Rate cut!

If you're sitting on some cash then I'd suggest patience because the rotation might not be over and you'll be able to steal great tech stocks. They'll rotate back into tech after retail rides them all down and then pukes them at the bottom.

The good news is I had taken all SOXL profits off the table before today.

The bad news is I bought back in too early today.

Averaged down but still not a great day.

Will be selling early if we gap up tomorrow.

For anyone that follows technical analysis and sitting on cash, then you should be working on your 'Max Pain' target list. This is a list of some of your top stocks and levels that they could hit should selling gain momentum. This will help you be ready to act should they get to those levels.

This is not a guarantee so don't dump assuming they'll hit those levels.

I've started mine.

Ouch. That's why overlappy bullish structures are so unreliable. I stopped out in early October when it overlapped the September highs. Hadn't paid attention since then.



If you were long, it has a chance to "recover" to a H&S high that aims for January 2025 $16 area. That would be my attempt to save it if I didn't want to take the L. But if it really wants it quicker than waiting on that, it could go below $5 sooner. Wish I could offer more..
