An emergency rate cut would trigger algos to dump equities because the Fed would appear to being incompetent and trying to stave off a severe recession. The market hates uncertainty and equities would be crushed. Sold recently bought SMCI at $715, holding IRA shares
The last hour had a high chance of happening. Running into 2pm, MACD diff was green practically all day. The averages were just switching back and forth on the 10 min chart, then started to cross and separate. Scalp opportunity presented itself as RSI was also showing overbought started to drop as selling took over. I grabbed some quick cash with a low cost put a few days out. These are the opportunities I've been working to find and today it worked out in my favor.

My buy for SMCI at $600 executed and seconds later hit my $700 limit sell on my other shares

If SMCI can't get over that earnings boom high, pressure can still be down for one more low. We have unprinted targets to the downside and none to the upside.
Edit: I lied. We have a daily probability target to $815 and weekly to $400. Wide spread, which is what gave me pause. Both can get filled, as weekly has a week left before it drops off the list.
