Honestly surprised at how little fight 3855 put up given what Mancini said yesterday about it being strong support. Agree with your advice to sit tight for a bit here and see if this was a false breakdown before the bulls reclaim 3855 and try to stage a rally from there. If so, this could be a great place to pick up some well-timed calls.

Support and resistances are zones, not exact. An overshoot is normal as long as it reclaims quickly.

The volume is not exceptional, that should tell you something about the move. A bunch of people got long at 3940 thinking 4000 was inevitable. Market will cause pain under those circumstances. I personally wouldn't be that worried unless 3800 trades.

Because I am always trying to teach you guys - this may not work - but I bought UPRO at 36.97 with a 36.25 stop, GTC. I will take some profit at $38 if we get there and move stop to B/E.

Why that stop? Below that point we will gap fill from Friday's breakout.

its eerie sometimes how well the charts follow certain moving averages....

I like to watch the 4h charts, and I use the 8 and 34 periods as my MAs. Since the decline in January, the 4h SPY chart has followed the 34 MA down as resistance during the declining periods, with only two instances breaking above the 34 MA - once between mid-March to mid-April, and then again from late May to early June before the recent decline. We are now testing the 34 MA again through the first part of this week, and failing. The current 4h candle has met the 8 MA below as support. The same candle has happened before - on the morning of April 21st, right before a new declining trend

Tried to mark those candles with white arrows

This. One very important thing I've learned in my journey so far is that the only people you want to follow on Twitter and elsewhere are the ones who speak in terms of "If _____ then _____," because it means they're reading charts and waiting for confirmation before making a move, and they're humble enough to know they could easily be wrong.

Nobody bats 1.000, especially not in this market, so run as fast as you can from the guys who make it sound like they do.

I made a little on the first move up. Then I was busy and everytime I checked back in I didn't like the setups. I kept thinking we might reverse and I didn't have enough time to actively monitor so I sat out.
