Nothing specific toward your post. Just a couple things I thought I'd chime in with.Quote:

If the current economic environment continues for a while and I think it will, XOM could regain it's membership in the S&P Dow Jones Index. XOM was removed on 8/31/2020. There is chatter that "the share of the pie" no longer represents energy sector correctly. If XOM is readmitted there would be a demand for those shares to reshuffle & balance funds - bullish. (Also, does ol' Warren know something about OXY that we don't? Is OXY the candidate for the S&P Dow Jones Index? Wouldn't that be a kick to the nutz of a level playing field?)
Crude needs to break $115, or it could signal a double top. Yesterday, would have been a prime time to do it. If chatter is a double top and we have a rest/pullback, it's temporary. Crude is moving up. Crude moves up then so will the O&G's. Yesterday was such a green day for my portfolio that I thought about break dancing on the driveway.
Last, I hear that AAPL market cap is greater than the combined market caps of all O&G. I didn't spend time to calculate and validate that statement; however, if true, shouldn't Congress focus the windfall tax on AAPL? Just a thought..
Good things to consider. My thinking is on technicals and not fundamentals. Long term id be more bullish.

Went hard in on TQQQ over the last month or so. Very nearly in the green finally.

Stayed in the calls even though I should have sold. VIX needs to cool off and QQQ get back to it's open quick or I'm out.

If SPX can get over this pivot at 4068.82 I had drawn from somewhere, we might be prepared for a nice ride up the upper BB. If not I think we'll head to the bottom of the intraday channel.
