lol...my account is brutal right now. Want to just build up some extra cash to be able to buy more longs. Premiums are just too rich to buy and hold currently waiting to try and go net free. Swings are violent.

Not sure there are any signals to be "buying" at the moment.

From my end, I'm seeing put positions actually being rolled down, just like you would see calls rolled up. I'm not seeing anything that makes me think this is close to over.

The signals are when you starting seeing multiple long term calls accumulating again. Other than a few earnings plays, I currently do see it.

Again, feels like the pain move is still down more.

For everyone thinking of longs, there is still a whole trading day and a half (technically almost two) between now and when Powell speaks. This is a momentum market, and there isn't any event before then that is likely momentum changing.

Let's say we end the day at this level. Even if SPY rips 6-7 points higher or the DJIA 600-700 points, you can still find quality longs at a significant discount from the close from just last Friday.

If you MUST buy something, buy a small lotto OTM SPY C for March. I still think selling premium here is the best trade to make.

Disclosure. I am short SPY. Still. And I sold AMD puts earlier.
