More will come. I know it is bouncing this morning, but everything is. If the market turns down, I'd expect COUP to take it on the nose. I think COUP could very well see $140ish which would fill a gap back to 4/13/20

I suspect the run up is due to the upcoming AR/VR product launch. That seems to be the hot tech item with everyone excited about Facebooks meta verse.

Could also be everyone realizing the Bloomberg report that Apple is telling suppliers demand is slow for new phones was false, like most Apple rumors are.

Nobody bats 1.000. Let's not do mexican hat dances on peoples opinions, I think it's great that everybody is out here trying to help one another.

For me, if you made money on COUP today, you probably did good because that candle that's building on the daily looks like trash and it's hovering on it's ORL.

Congrats! Hope you only did it for a scalp, because this is not what you want to see on a technical.


The QQQ is also up ~3% today and COUP is still down 2%

Do trades settle at the opening of the settlement date (T+2), or do you have to actually wait until the trade time? (ie. if I made a purchase with unsettled funds on 12/3 at 2 pm and want to sell today, which is the settlement date for the original funds.)

Sorry didn't mean to be condescending. I was just pleased with its initial reaction after the earnings sell off yesterday. You may very well be right that it's not done going down and caution is always good. Regardless I appreciate you chiming in and providing your opinions

An entity or person decided to buy $8MM (big money) in Apple $200calls (out of the money) for March above the ask (they wanted to buy those NOW) when Apple is at $170.

This indicates a large directional move is expected by an entity with money.

Price target was raised to $200. I'm guessing someone thinks it moves sooner than later because as you said, they wanted them now.

Keltner channels for TOS. https://tos.mx/nFQhCH5

Similar to Bollinger Bands. Keltner used ATR (Average True Range) as opposed to on the ticker's standard deviation.

That video is what I am trying to understand and incorporate into my decision making. Knowing when to get out and when to enter or when to wait and I think this would be a useful tool.

That is part of my day trading strategy. I incorporate a few different things. Previous day's highs/lows. Moving averages. Option flow. Order flow. I don't use just one technique, but most of my day trading is done using technical analysis. I don't pay much attention to fundamentals. I leave that to my FA

So right now at 2pm-ish, SPY is in a flat channel with tight bands for the the last two hours, indicating low volatility. It just got in that channel around noon. Trying to understand what it may do next.

I realize its an index and the underlying stocks are the drivers so inevitably that is who drives the action. But I like playing SPY, because its addicting.

It is a guessing game as to what it will do next. Technical analysis is just meant to prepare you to act in either direction.

What I've bolded is the exact reason I very very very rarely put on a position after lunch. Most moves and pivots have already happened.

Ok, thanks for pointing that trend out. I've been noticing this especially with SPY often.

This is a position I held over night and have gotten lucky with the rip this morning. I think it's time to get out.

We're near all time high again on SPY. Going ot take some real momentum for that crest. It's in a period of rest right now, just need to watch for the close.
