You're a pro trader when you don't get upset about losses. I still get upset from time to time.
I for the most part no longer get upset in the bummed form. I still get upset in the angry form since more than likely I made a mistake on discipline. I hate losing.

Is it bad that the losses aren't affecting me as much as gains are?


It's the same thing. I dgaf about gains. I'd be excited about a $1M day, but I can't see that happening in my trading account.

With crude above $70 and the likelihood it's going higher this summer, any thoughts on how a larger correction will affect the energy sector? Seems like O&G stocks still have runway to move up. With that said, I assume a correction will affect all sectors, including an energy pullback. Selling covered calls and hedging a bit on major positions, just curious to get the thoughts of you guys who actually know what you're doing. LOL

I'm amazed by the wide spectrum of prominent arguments out there on inflation vs deflation and commodity rocket vs collapse.

Michael Burry vs Cathie Woods type projections from a bunch of successful money managers.

I guess that's what makes TA so good to just look at what's happening in front of you.

Same for me. I'll cover my redneck way on SR and trendlines and do a rough one on a stock on screen from scratch.

Lots of other things to tie together but at least this is a start for all of us.

No doubt... in today's world (maybe it has always been this way), there seems to be more marketing 'value' in having a fringe opinion. More exposure, more retweets, more clicks, etc... just like the political spectrum, business has to be more polarized to stand out and get attention.

Throw Zero Hedge in there as an example as well... been screaming doomsday for years and years. Being aware of it all but not taking much of it very seriously has been the best for my investing, trading and general mental health. Just with politics, covid, and everything else, the truth is typically in the middle of the extreme tweets, youtubes, etc. Take the Redler approach...

I don't classify myself as one of the guys who actually knows what they are doing but I've been thinking and researching about this a lot as well and curious others thoughts.

If this mini-bull run on growth stocks is short-lived, my thought is much of that money will go somewhere as opposed to exiting the market. In March when the growth names came back to earth we saw a big rotation from growth to value. Names like FUBO and PLTR crashed but SPY stayed relatively strong after. With WTI over $70 again this morning and higher projections ahead one scenario I'm wondering might happen is a rotation from growth specifically to oil/energy this time.

I have RSI on my charts, but I'm so focused on futures day trading that I'm not taking the time right now to find individual RSI stock plays on daily time frames.

I use the RSI(2) on the intraday of my futures to help me figure out when entries and exits make sense though; however, it's far from a light switch.

Just put QQQ at 342 and go from there.

I know this will be an unpopular opinion, but there's a real chance QQQ can see 400 by end of 2021. Using technicals and price action only.
