I took this a different way in that OA isn't sure which way it's going to move - only that it IS going to move big, either up (if it rejects the sell attempt it will spike) or down (if it loses this support level it will likely move to 25% mark - $15-16ish area?)

Am I reading that wrong? If I'm right, wouldn't a strangle be the play?

You could do a strangle on NIO, but do you think the room is to the upside or downside? It's pretty beaten up.

It was more a question of trying to determine what OA was saying.

I would not want to be short WWR. A bunch of us will be buying more shares next week as well unless it rallies to $5.

For some reason I thought OA has seven figures of WWR by himself. We might be making a run at 5-10% of all shares here on the B&I board.

Ha, this cracks me up on WWR. That being said, I have 10k shares.

Be careful here. Technically it is in no man's land. Support a bit under $4 was broken and it hasn't quickly recaptured it. Based on fundamentals, it should have recaptured $4 yesterday, but the markets are rarely rational short term. Small caps aren't in favor these days either. For high beta growth and small caps, we really need this meme and crypto craze bs to go away or at least subside imo, but who knows when that will be. I'd really like to see BTC lose $40,000 and slow grind back down under $20,000. Laser eye fatigue will set in, and the masses will move on to something new at some point... human nature. Of course we may see BTC $200,000 before that happens...

I could see WWR bleed down more to around $3 over the coming weeks. I'd double up on it at that level most likely. Any spike back to near $5, and I'd sell covered calls on up to half. Don't get impatient with these small cap accumulation stocks. They tend to bounce around for months/years before a major catalyst either sends them to the moon or wipes them out to the pink sheets....

Qs at 321.86
VIX lower at 22.10 but still over 21
SKEW below 140 at 139.26

My plan A - Today will be to the long side if SPY holds 411.70s.
Lose 410.50 but not 407 and take advantage of volatility.
Below 407 pretty much all down side plays.
IMO lose 407ish and we haven't seen the last of downward pressure this round and I'll be eyeballing 398ish-400.

Think Qs need to reclaim 324 and even better over 326.13 if I had a wish.

Here's to hoping these guys show up today with purpose....

Closed above the 21EMA yesterday and ATR mean.
About $86.50 grabs 5, 8 & 10.

Nice volume on it yesterday and bounced hard at $78.60s support.

On WWR, watching this sharing of ownership info is crazy. Think about how much pull this forum has....

That being said, be careful on this.....I do believe it's fairly clear cut that coordinated mass transactions or behavior are something that can be cracked down on. Obviously nothing is nefarious here but don't give anyone any reason to rain on our parade

Friday Macros

Short Covering in Treasuries...Risk Parity Buying....Reversals...Comm

The long bond auction did not go well, but that has not stopped short covering in treasuries and some chunky moves in swap spreads... Commodities charts have reversed for now as the inflation scare is dissipating...Front Iron Ore was limit down in Chinese trading and closed down 9.75% today. Does not mean inflation is going away, as retail sales could throw a wrench in the overnight moves, but for now it looks positive for both equities and bonds... Seems like they are moving in similar directions for now...

Swap spreads have made some large moves on the idea that tapering may be sooner rather than later globally... We will have to see about that... For now we will watch it

It has been a very choppy week, but nothing has broken... 200 day moving averages have not been hit, and even the Nasdaq is bouncing for now... The fear trade is not over and leverage is still high, but it does not feel like we will see the reversals we have experienced recently in today's trading... Corporate spreads are solid and the overseas demand for long credit is off the charts... Overnight we saw offers wanted for close to 1.1 billion of long US corporates from the brokers markets... The Japanese are clearly continuing their buying of US credit... This is not going away
