I never post this stuff but thought I would for those looking at this strategy to pass the time.

First,, thanks to Foggy for getting me roped into it. It is his fault. It really helped me in not watching dumb charts of longer positions I hold while boredom sets in when it doesn't move. I love trading (discovered I am probably not a buy and hold until eternity guy) and this was a blast so maybe this is the new me. Charts, MAs, options plays and some cash flow trades to keep my sanity.

However this is NOT for everyone.

I got lucky probably but worked hard this week at refining and learning a method that worked for me. I am sure there is a much better way to skin this cat. Plan to continue and hope to repeat at least 50% of this type of week.

4 Days SPY Scalps

  • 32 Round Trip Trades (day trades)
  • 4 One Ways Trades (bought previous day held overnight)
  • 32 Winning Trades
  • 4 Losing Trades
  • Started out with $1k blocks, moved to $1,500 then largest at $2,400 (did a horrible job of being consistent as it grew)
  • $8.6k profit in 4 days never having more on the line that about $4k that included puts and calls or layers at same time.


    • Could have made more had I been more disciplined and/or been willing to exit more often and rinse/repeat. But I am old....

    Going naked into next week as of this second anyway not having anything on. May add right before close depending.

    PS - I sold too early the 395 calls obviously typing this but I stuck to the system and exited. Left a few bucks on the table. Pinged exactly just now at 394.10 where I had an exit identified. Voodoo.
