I opened a TDA/TOS account yesterday and funded it with some play money. I am planning to use it for the higher-risk higher reward plays, learning a little about options, etc. I'm going to keep my vanguard account more long-term growth-focused.

Nah. I have two high-clearance 4WDs, a couple of freezers well-stocked, and a barn full of firewood. We're only supposed to get another 5-6" today so no big deal. We're at somewhere right around 7 feet of total snowfall since just before Christmas.

I might pickup 65p weeklies for RIOT or for next week. Think this thing will pullback here in the near term. A BTC pullback to the 40s would help obviously. This thing trades in lockstep with BTC although yesterday felt like RIOT started disconnecting a little bit.

Was just typing a post about this. This is a massive selloff. Falling knife at this point. I'm going to wait for it to stabilize and either base or set up the Stewie special "holy grail" setup. Then it will be 'buy with reckless abandonment' time ala FUBO first week of January. Patience pays for both entries and exits...

FYI Redler is targeting $22-24 to start looking at buying. <$25 is time to start paying attention.

I have a lot of March calls...kind of want to just sell them all and sit cash for a while but seems dumb to do it on a red open. should I wait for a bump or am I waiting for something that isnt coming?

Crazytown here this morning. I got assigned early on a couple positions. Mvis sold 7c and qd sold 2c. The qd were cc so no problem. The problem is the mvis call was intended to be covered by a couple 3c i own (i.e. legged into a spread), but instead of closing out one of my calls it looks like they sold a hundred shares short on my behalf. Hour and a half wait for tda customer service. Is the easiest way to fix this to exercise one of my $3 calls to close out the short?
Edit2: looks like it worked and now i think i understand oa's "capture gains premarket" strategy a little better. You have a call that gets a premarket spike, sell the shares short premarket then exercise the call to cover the short and capture profit. Is that right?

The annoying part is the SPY has been increasing the past week while stocks have been bleeding leaving a huge gap down for the spy to still fill and destroy our stocks even more.
