No, no double yet, but so much can change with premium overnight, especially on news.

You're going to need low 140s for a double on those February's. Like I said, it could be 140, it could be 141-142 depending on premium tomorrow.

March will be much easier to achieve barring a market dump. I'd hold the March's for a while.

I'm no chart reader, but TSNP had a helluva day and finished skrong... I'm in around .50. Plan on picking up more on dips. Appears to be quite a bit of upside and momentum. Someone left some good info on the company a few pages back.

Just FYI.

So I missed it but two days ago was a great entry on $PINS on the recovery and close above the 8/21/50 ma's in one day. Has had a very weird looking curved consolidation, but moving ah and earnings coming up that it should do very well on. Could be in for another big move higher?

If you have the $142 February, today it closed $8 away. If we open tomorrow at $137, you'd be $5 away from ITM. So a decent estimate would be to see what the $139 are now trading at which is currently $5 OTM.

That should give you an idea of the minimum it opens. But today was a red day so premium in calls decayed decently while a gap up tomorrow to $137 even though we're still $5 OTM, there will be more premium built into the calls.

I'm basically doing this since being laid off, but i keep telling myself that we're in an amazing market and that could disappear in an instant. Regardless it's been a good excuse to consolidate some accounts and get more knowledgeable and disciplined

I understood the seminar OA1 is advertising is basically a repeat of the one last week. Now there is an options one that is on the 11th that people who went to the first are already invited too.

Wow...so say you want to do this for a living and pay yourself 100k a year. If you think you can clear 8% a month (taking a monthly paycheck), your trading account only needs to be $104,167. Guess it makes sense because 2% a week is 104% a year without compounding. But wow...

Edit to add: 401k benefits have lost all their attractiveness as an incentive for me going back to working for the Man, as i have full confidence i will be able to grow my (slowly being consolidated) current rollover 401k balances into more money than I'll ever be able to spend in retirement

I do the same reminding myself as well. It may be sick but I look forward to the down days so I can 'practice' hedging, puts and searching for the lone 'bull' stock going against the grain while its cheap.

Isn't helpful if you're in 2/19s.

I have shares so I'm patient.

If youre in the XL 2/19s, I don't think there is going to be a lot of movement north in the next week, but sometimes these things will shake investors, then it explodes.

A couple of years or so ago, you advised to buy AAPL, sell some when it went up $10 and buy more when it went down $10. Or something to that effect. I bought AAPL at $148 then. Now those shares have multiplied by 4 and are almost worth what they cost when I initially bought them. I try to pay attention when you talk about AAPL.
