5% drop today. They say it's on building US inventories. Most of our customers are driving as much or more than prior to COVID, so not sure what it will take to go back up.

I have seen some solutions being marketed lately but I highly doubt their economical at $80/barrel. Probably at >$100 but not really sure. The leak detection stuff is being pushed across the entire midstream section and will be costly as well. Just the other day new requirements for gas gathering pipelines were implemented and will require additional resources and costs to operate several hundred thousand miles of "gathering" pipe. Not ideal for anyone, including the end users.

Sounds like more of a reason to put those bitcoin mining skids at well heads to process dirty natural gas into clean CO2 and crypto.
Downstream we're looking at flare vapor recovery (recycle back to feedstock?) to avoid/reduce flaring. That takes compression, which takes electricity, which means burning more gas turbine fuel gas. TINSTAAFL.

I've got a friend that has a start up on this. Solid guy with a great value proposition. They've raised some capital and recently had their first project commissioned on some older wells in Louisiana. They've got a modular approach to the deploying the rig because of his close connection with his supplier. Check them out.

Oh no, it's much worse than you think. In fact, I don't see how upstream will continue to operate, at all.

This is the 2016 OOOOa rule times 10 with an additional 20 other requirements and dubious climate savings/benefits.
If you are not involved with the IPAA, AXPC, or state trade groups then you better get involved quickly because this rule will destroy upstream in the US. I don't see how anyone, including the majors can make production profitable with these rules.
