We've had potential clients ask whether we use AWS for some of our services because they are afraid of getting locked out if Amazon goes after oil and gas.

If you meant to say they will get pounded if they paid for a lot of undeveloped acreage value, I think everyone would agree.

Not O&G but we leased timber to IP (thru Crown) for decades, and Amazon bought out the lease at what the manager said was a stupid premium. They want downstream control of their paper products.Joseph Parrish said:

This might be what is driving lumber prices up. Though I haven't seen one news outlet say Amazon is pulling trees bound for framing into boxes yet.
