What I've heard is a year salary, year of insurance plus additional 6 months of Cobra, and 2x annual bonus.

Sounds like Parsley has already announced what their severance package will be. Going to lay-off majority of workforce prior to closing.
As someone who is probably about to get the axe as a result of a different o&g acquisition I would kill for that deal.txaggie_08 said:

Feel like RDS needs to make a move too to keep pace with XOM, CVX and COP
I had heard rumors a year or so ago about them going after Endeavor. That would be an acquisition that would scare me. No telling what skeletons are hiding in that closet.
Sir we don't have the rights to that zone - Doesn't matter laid pipe!Quote:

You heard the Big Guy, $40-$50 an hour working solar so fook it. Hell of a lot easier than twisting off a RSS halfway down the lateral...
Remember back in 2008 and 2012. Remember, Obama was going to kill the oil industry. The regulations he was going to put in (and did put in) totally decimated the oil industry. Gas shot up to $6 a gallon and oil was $150+ a barrel. Millions of oil field people (blue and white collar) were roaming the streets with signs "will drill for $$". Lubbock and Levelland became ghost towns. Due to all the solar panels, you can't drive anywhere without sunglasses because all the reflected light. With the wind turbines, no one can dove hunt because all the birds are dead.CoachRTM said:
He's gotta walk that back tomorrow, right? I can't imagine a dumber move in late October than to say you're going to phase out one of the biggest industries in the country.
Absolutely. If you have federal lands, this is a significant risk. You guys are right that the president needs congress to "ban fracking" (although if Biden wins, the Senate probably also flips). However, the president can implement policies that make the BLM even slower than normal. NEPA analysis can be used to block literally any permit.PeekingDuck said:
The President can certainly hold up production on BLM acreage. They can also play games with EPA and FWS to stop production. While this doesn't impact Texas significantly, it does impact other states and it impacts pipelines greatly.
Permian oil executives have done massive damage to the industry.dragmagpuff said:
I've joked the last couple of months:
Who can do more damage to the oil industry?
- Joe Biden
- Oil Executives
Fine, plenty of blame to go around. Similar to the doctor/insurance/lawyer/hospital arguments.CaptnCarl said:
I'd argue the banks did all the damage by handing out so much money to people they shouldn't. I guess the banks have to justify their job somehow, too.
Oil Executives aren't dumb. They figured out how to pay themselves millions of dollars to incinerate capital.CaptnCarl said:
They're so dumb! If only they'd read this TexAgs forum before doing all that damage!!

And since my company produces entirely in the State and has no BLM exposure I hope he does it, less competition for us. Also hope he kills the Keystone XL and any other projects that that put pressure on domestic production. Sounds unpatriotic but screw 'Murica, time to look out for #1 and the best interests of Texas production is all I care about anymore.topher06 said:Absolutely. Okay, then it looks like Biden would help you short term. Good luck!Ag CPA said:And since my company produces entirely in the State and has no BLM exposure I hope he does it, less competition for us.
