Greek talks failed this evening and lots of people forecasting higher dollar weaker Euro.

More pain for oil it looks like. XOM broke its 28 year trendline this past week. Pretty interesting chart. I want this at 75.

Was reading a bit about that last night. Hoping it stimulates some of the other oil stocks.

Oddly enough, someone or someones bought 25,000 November $49 calls for just over $2 on Thursday. They'll be worth probably $15 or so in 90 minutes.

So the Saudis have essentially lost control of the oil market and this is their last ditch effort to keep their hands on the strings.

A few other Chevron BUs went through this last year. It was going to happen regardless of oil prices, though number let go may be higher now. There will most likely be Canadian expats being pulled home and US expats heading back to Texas (hopefully with a job).

i think that has more to do with an extreme slow down in canada. we recently announced our facility in calgary is closing, the same day I had a calgary based vendor call fishing for work.
