Nice boat. You should come stop by my island some time.

Seen a few supply chain guys on here...do you mind giving me a brief description of what you do? What a typical day looks like?
I spend most of my mornings meeting with my internal stakeholders (i.e. production leads, maintenance leads, construction, engineering, D&C) and getting updates on what they have going on in their areas. We'll discuss any bids that need to be put together and if we want to approach any new companies for goods or services. Right now we have a lot of bidding going on in just about every service line, so it's been crazy trying to keep up.
For my materials contracts, I interact daily with our warehouse team to ensure we're in good shape regarding our MRP orders and I'll do some system maintenance, if necessary. The majority of all the materials we buy are mastered and tied back to a pricing agreement that I manage. I work closely with our distributors to ensure we're getting the best bang for our buck in regards to the manufacturers we're buying from and the specs we're calling for.
I'll spend the rest of my time putting together bid packages and writing new contracts whenever needed. I manage close to 100 MSAs that account for services and materials.
I did a lot maintenance and material data work while deploying Backbone to NAG.
It was a mess wasn't it? We're in a better spot today than where we were for sure. I'm sure we probably crossed paths at some point.

They already cut 7500 jobs and announced 10K more.

Well, the entire worlds has problems if oil is that low for 5-10 years.
