Everywhere jokes about the drastic weather changes. I've lived in Texas, Illinois and now Colorado. Colorado weather is the craziest.

We bottomed out at -9.4 this morning at my weather station in the yard.

I got all bundled up this morning, went to my running starting point, turned around and ran 15 miles on my treadmill. A brisk walk and my lungs were on fire.

I've turned into a wuss since moving to Colorado. I ran all 5 (will run inside tomorrow too) of my runs inside this week.

Doing a marathon in Asheville NC in March.

Pilot I know what you mean. I used to go outside for pretty much any run. But as I get older if it's slippery, I'm on the treadmill. Last thing I want is a broken hip. Below 0 is a new threshold for me to be inside. Maybe even below 10

Can't remember how long everyone in here has been here, but in my 11 years, I think this may be like the third time we had 3+ consecutive days of really cold (single digit highs)

This is not a monthly winter thing or even annual thing.

Negatives are certainly not every year.

The cold isn't that bad… it's when your power goes out for a week while it's cold that sucks (thank you tx grid 2021)

One thing I'm really starting to miss is Gulf Shrimp. Anywhere you guys have found that sells them raw? Seems like everything in the grocery store is farm raised or from overseas.

seafood landing on 32nd just north of sloan's lake might have it. I haven't bought shrimp there before but get fish three or four times a year and it is always fantastic.

Sprouts has frozen raw wild Texas Gulf Shrimp. There's a cowboy on the bag riding a shrimp like a horse lol. They are pretty good.

Put an offer on a house in Littleton yesterday morning and it was accepted!!!! $450K on a 1200 sq ft, 2 bed / 2 bath with attached garage, 0.20 acre lot. Looks like a great neighborhood and close to downtown Littleton.

Cute house with a lot of updates and well cared for. And a great layout. We spoke to the seller's mom who lives next door, and got a good feel for the neighbors and rest of the area.

My fiancee and I are getting married on Labor Day weekend this summer, so this is perfect. Seems like a great home to start a family!

I'm going to miss my little apartment in Arvada near Olde Town, but it's time for a new life and adventure. My only hesitation is that I won't be close to my church and might have to find another one. Or make the long drive a while until they plant another location near Littleton.

I'm working with Cathy Miller at PorchLight real estate. She is amazing and has been working in Denver-area real estate for many years, and grew up here most of her life. Highly recommend her.

That would have been a good idea! To be fair, when I left the house at 9:30 it was just drizzling. By the time I arrived back home, 4 inches had fallen all over Golden and Lakewood. My little Altima was no match for the hills.

We had two basketball games in a row 11:30 and 1, so while we were out for those almost 4 hours most of it fell. Spent 30 min snowblowing the driveway and it's all done now. 7-8" I'd say.

And it feels like a late march snow, man is it wet.

Can't say I can remember an overnight rain in feb in our 11 years here. That can't be common!

Made it to Safeway and liquor store but that was about it. Maybe should've pulled the trigger on a blower last week. That was a brutal shovel. Felt much more like late March.
