Looking crazy downtown but not like Philly when eagles won.

Although setting off fireworks in the crowd seems a little much. And running through them…

we've lived here 11 hears, and overall it seems someone is doing good.
Broncos for early teens, Avs and nuggets sprinkled in since then. Rockies with a wildcard a handful of years ago.

I'm not a greedy guy, but I'll take another 3-4 titles between the Nuggets and Avs over the next 5 seasons.

I'm hopeful for the Broncos, but Vance Joseph is the DC .

I gave up on the Rockies about 3 years ago.

This guy is on cloud 9.. I guess the Rapids are up next?!?

Thought about going downtown to watch the game and enjoy the party, but the police were prepping for a riot and parking looked horrible. Watched off Broadway instead at Irish Rover with my GF. Glad we did.

Some friends were downtown and we saw the videos. People riding and hanging from traffic lights, and 10 people were shot around LoDo at 1am.

Californiacation / liberlizing of Denver is complete. Shame what "progressives" have turned this state into. I guess this is progress.

Sure has been an active late spring/ early summer for storms. Hope everyone makes it through this one without major damage

We survived. But my dog kicked me in the nuts!

She normally doesn't sleep in the bed but because of storm anxiety we let her up. One clap of thunder and she jumped. Uuggghhh!

man ran a few days in may I remember.. but only 2-3 I think. I've got the rain sensors so it's just been bypassed for a month!

I just turned on my a/c back on either sunday or Monday for the first time.. in the middle of the night when I woke up sweating and it was 75*+ lol.

I follow Seth Linden's page and Cody of Front Range Weather. It was well known that hail would be a high probability in the morning. Surprised they kept the concert on.

Anyone near the HR tornado?

We are out of town, not sure if it was a tornado or just high winds but we lost ~30-40 ft section of fence and a few large trees.

Guess on the plus side, still won't have to run the sprinklers for a while longer.

Local news reporting a likely F1 tornado that was down for about 6 miles through HR.

I had just picked my daughter up from basketball camp maybe 1 mile from there. The storm looked gnarly rolling up. So by the time we got home, I told the kids to get their butts inside.

This one was weird. Hit hard in pockets. Have friends in Castle Pines that were shredded by hail, heard another dude in Black Forest had his roof punctured multiple times / house flooded, and a guy I sorta work with had his house touched by the tornado.

But other than some high winds, we were totally unscathed and surrounded by it all.

Has anyone here finished out a basement? I'm looking for rough figures on what to expect.

I have not personally.

We did ours a year ago. Just over 1,000 sq ft. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, big living room. $65,000. We did it fairly cheap. Used company out of Arvada.

I'm fixin to finish out my basement down in the springs. Kicking myself in the ass for not doing it when I built the house 10 years ago for 35-40k. Looking at probably 70-80k now. It'll be probably ~1700 sq ft. Still have to get bids.

Do you have a breakout of costs for framing, drywall etc?

Fyi elkstone won't do basements in older homes.

I just got two bids from elk stone and mak; only a single 11x11 bedroom and 3/4 bathroom. Both were at $31k.

I'm doing it myself with help from subcontractors I work with in the commercial space. (I work for a GC)

I would have never imagined $150+ /sf for basement. My house cost less than that.

I'm assuming you're talking about your price since ours was more than 1/2 that? I'm assuming it's because that's their "get out of bed price". Most of these companies don't want the small job, so your price per sqft is higher.
