Went to Southern Hospitality last night for the birthday dinner before the rockies game. I have to say solid whiskey selection and they are all 2 oz pours. I am hurting this morning.

The Manhattan Project was also a solid drink but preferred the whiskey on the rocks.

I had the LoDo Sandwhich with BBQ sauce instead of the spicy mustard. Solid but I was also 4 whiskeys in by the time the food showed up so I am not sure I would trust my judgement at that point.

I actualy have a 25 pack of tickets for the Rockies with my girlfriend so I have been to a few games so far this season. I would say that finish was one of the more exciting of the season so far. I also liked last Friday's game with the tie breaking grand slam.

I'm less than 2 months out from Baby #2, just got a new driver, am currently mourning the upcoming move of my buddy/brisket dealer SoonerBorn, and so on.

In just over two weeks I will be going under the knife to repair my torn ACL, which means the next month or so after that will be dedicated to rehabbing the hell out of my knee. Before that though I will be heading to the College World Series.

From someone who just had ACL reconstruction, there's not a whole lot to do rehab wise the first month. You basically bend it, straighten it, do quad sets and then ice the hell out of it.

Sounds like I have a lot of fun ahead of me. Two weeks from tomorrow is my surgery. Hopefully everything works out for me and I can be back on my feet in no time.

I go on from 10-1030 and the competition is based on crowd votes. Free before 10pm as well! I know a lot of the people who frequent this thread live south and can't make it on a Tuesday night, but i just thought I'd try.

How'd it go?

I won last night! It was a 4 person competition with 30 minute sets. So I get to move on to the next round of battles on August 6th, and play a 45 minute set this time vs. 2 others.

What time on August 6? I can't make any promises, but if I stick it on the calendar now, there's a chance!

Nice that'd be sick!! Not sure what time... Set times are 9, 945 and 1030 and it's a random draw as to who gets what slot. Win this battle and I get a chance to play at a bigger show put on by this promotion company Sub.Mission. Hopefully at somewhere like Beta!

I played a couple of your sets from SoundCloud for my husband earlier.

I've got it down as 9. My schedule's wide open until I have faculty orientation in late August. So, it'll just depend on his (he used to hit up the east coast raves back in the late 90s and loves a good beat).

I know a lot of you guys have been talking BBQ and lack there of in Denver. Being here the past 3 years, I agree with the general opinion and can't say I've found good BBQ.

Good news.. my buddy who is from Seguin is opening a BBQ joint in Superior (between Broomfield and Boulder). His place will be called Wayne's Smoke Shack - True Texas BBQ. It will be opening next month with the grand opening on August 24th. If you like good Texas brisket, ribs, sausage, etc. this is your place to go.
