I know better than to give up on this team in terms of the season...but I've definitely got my silverware drawer open right now for the season. This team looks as bad right now as they have since they were in '00 (that includes the 15-30 start in '05...at least they lost like 14 of those 30 games by only 1 run)
The best thing for the long term health of the franchise maybe to be out of the race at the trading deadline. That way the front office(Uncle D) would be more likely to sell off some parts to get some young prospects
But teams are looking for impact players to push them over the top. We don't have those, or at least the ones we have we don't want to get rid of. Nobody will want Lane, Ensberg, Everett, Ausmus.....
