Let's add up all the runs we scored in all 3 games in those series...

Rangers Series - 11 runs
Giants Series - 3 runs

Now let's take the highest output for our opponent in a single game for both of those series and see how we come fare:

Rangers (5/20) 14 runs, so they outscored us in one game.

Giants (5/23) 9 runs, so they outscored us in one game...and that's not even close. Oops, the Giants scored enough runs in the first game of that series...4...to spread out and win the rest of the series.

Beef, I'm saying that alot of people want to blame Garner for everything. Why don't we blame the guys who can't seem to hit the ball? Garner can only do so much when guys don't hit the ball.

Well, that was a COMPLETE BS warning to give...Rodriguez throws inside and the pitch doesn't even hit Jackson and even if it did, it would be little more than a "grazing" of him.

By the way, since the board wasn't working at the time...I think it's safe to say that Mike Lamb doesn't need to be starting anymore. I would like to see the breakdown of Lamb as a starter vs. off the bench. It wouldn't shock me to see his average is worse as a starter than Ensberg's...plus in his 3 ABs tonight with his 3 SOs he hasn't even looked like a major league hitter.

Unless some other people not named Lee or Pence decide to show up with a bat, Garner may never find a lineup that will produce runs consistantly.

Let's review the D-Back's 6th run...

A batter gets 1st after being "hit" by the pitch with the bases loaded...the ball hits the bottom of the bat though, the hitter stands his ground until the ump tells him to take his base and then the guy even turns around to look back at the ump as he is jogging down to 1st as if to say "wow, I can't believe I got away with that."

The guy who scores is the 1st batter that got hit that inning who ALSO never got hit by the pitch.

What ever happened to the rule where you had to make an attempt to not get hit by the pitch? Did I miss when it was removed from the rulebook?

That's a razor's edge margin, it's frustrating when you've gone out and lost 7 of 8 and have only been outscored by 34 runs.

Just because the ineptitude is comical, the Astros over the past week have averaged losing games by over 4 runs a game.
