Turn the game on and promptly see freeman take a ball called a strike. Doesn't challenge. At bat completely changed as he swings at two way out of strike zone. Frustrating.

FWIW, Langford lost a challenge in the first at-bat of the game. They may not allow all players the ability to challenge with only 1 left, or it may need to be situational where the overturned call would keep an inning going/score a run/etc., especially earlier in the game.

ETA: just went back and looked and saw the bases were loaded when this happened. So forget everything I said, other than maybe not all players have a green light to challenge.

Makes sense if they don't want to throw them away and some AB's matter more than others. No excuses in the fifth though. Just **** at bat from Zeke and Burger has to protect.

Getting a swirly from the WORST home team in baseball and giving up an average of 8 runs per game so far.

If we lose tomorrow this series is like a massive deuce on the rangers season and 10x worse than the sweep against the angels or the 3 out of 4 beat down by the astros. Need a win tomorrow to save face.

So what does everyone think is really going on with Seager? Would it really surprise anyone if he just decided to hang it up early and maybe he's not really wanting to be out there everyday anymore? His brother retired at 34 so there is precedent.

That was a very hard collar the plate. Pretty sure they are being way overly cautious. Don't agree with it, but there are a lot of things this staff and front office do that I do not agree with.

As far as moving him to first, I agree. Don't give him a choice. Make him start taking practice there and then begging gradually moving him to that role. Heck, just rip the band aid off and do it.

This. It just doesn't happen.

Seager is a frustrating player, but I'd still rather have him playing short (and in the lineup) than not in the lineup at all.
