Managers are just good punching bags. Your roster is your roster. When they pull the right strings most people don't notice. When they pull the wrong strings, they do. Skip's not the reason that Seager is hitting 130 points below is normal OPS. I don't think Skip is a great manager, but I don't really think managers matter all that much aside from your Joe Maddon's.

A dozen of you guys have given up on this team (and said they've given up) almost too many times to count. And here they are 6 outs away from a virtual division tie with 3 games left in the season. I'm glad the team had more intestinal fortitude than the lot of you.

He tripped. That's all it was. When he took the last step of his secondary lead his ankle turned and he fell, and at that point he was dead.

It sucks that it happens in that situation, but it wasn't some bonehead move or some reflection of Skip as a manager that some are so desperate to apply.

Also this is the weakest astros pitching staff ive seen in awhile. Their manager Kotsay is smarter than Skip and probably won't let Yordan beat them.

There should be no reason the A's roll over for the Astros or don't try at all. How many teams like the Astros more than the Rangers?

They know they can play spoiler. Ruining the Astros chances is always fun.
