Yeah, he responded well to drawing a paycheck and doing nothing. He's hoping for continued progress on his book, "Generational Wealth from Your Recliner."

If anyone is interested in dying on the sun tonight, the Disla give away at frisco.

Abimelec Ortiz has the same body type as Disla and he is now playing for the Nationals.

Disla is listed as 6'2"/240
Ortiz is listed as 5'10"/230

There is zero chance if Disla is 6'2"... that he is 240. 260 maybe?! 280?!

This has been a complaint of mine about the org for a while now. Nobody comes off the IL early or on their original schedule it seems. Certain players (Seager, Jung) are way too comfortable getting paid to not play. It's a cultural issue, IMO. It's why I was totally on board with trading Seager at the deadline. Send a damn message….if anyone would take him.

Hey, we aren't the only ones dealing with these can't strains! Maybe it's an epidemic or something

I get the angst, but I'm not sure I'd question these players commitment. Sure some players seem to mail-it in once they "get paid" but I'm not going to sweep groups like that.

This is a physically demanding sport. Jung and Seager seem fragile... but I don't question their commitment.

Seager came back without rehab. He wanted to be with the club and could have spend time in the minors. Some complained he hurt the club not rehabbing. So it goes multiple ways.

If Jung hobbies to 1st or re-injures his calf, then people will complain.

Man Stanton is another one who is always hurt. Guy is jacked like a brick **** house and is still always on the DL. Not that I like the Yankees, but he's fun to watch when healthy - absolutely mashes the ball

Edit to add, probably would be a hall of famer if not for injuries

A general problem I have with Skip is that he doesn't think ahead in the game and I'm not even sure he's familiar with his players.

Last night he pinch hits Kelenic for Freeman to lead off the 7th. That was a bad move for several reasons. First off, Freeman is a better baseball player than Kelenic, and Freeman does not have a significant difference in L/R splits. His opposite field approach and choking up is fine for hitting against right handers. Secondly, you know you have to use Lopez as a defensive sub immediately, also a worse baseball player than Freeman. So a move he shouldn't have even made costs you 2 bench moves, both far inferior players than the guy you took out.

Then, you have Lopez hitting in a spot in the 9th where all he has to do is put the ball in play to win the game. Sure would be nice to have Freeman in that spot.

It's pretty basic stuff that Skip is just completely clueless on.

Those two years of Stanton at his peak were insane. He consistently hit missiles for home runs.

Mrs. Freeman, while we appreciate your support for the team, we're not sure your son is quite as good as you'd like to believe.

I know, I probably fell a little too hard for Freeman during that Little Rascals month last season.

But he's absolutely a better player than Kelenic and Lopez, both of whom the Rangers signed off the street this season.

Don't think that was the point. I think the point is and I agree Freeman is a better player. Skip and situational awareness do not co-exist very well.

The idea is to get people healthy for the playoffs.

You don't "send a message" in professional sports. Hell, you can't even really do it in college anymore.

The Seager hate because you guys don't like how he emotes is downright stupid. He won us a World Series with that same personality.

If you want a chance in hell of winning anything this year, it you need him 100%. Hustling Nicky Lopez ain't gonna win you *****

Want to Seager emote, go walk around the ballpark and see the big mural the moment he hit the HR in game one in 2023.

Speaking of getting healthy...

Yankees lost today and their SP, Weathers left the game with forearm soreness. They just got Rodon back, but Fried ... which had just returned is back to the IL.

Improbable, but wouldn't be upset if they collapsed and missed the playoffs.
