Man I really look forward to trading this kid in 3 years for a 38 year old reliever who pitches 3 games for us.

As has been the case for many different years, the AL West is our problem. If you expect to win the series at home against the Angels, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. It'll be the same when the A's show up.

Again, we are 2 games under .500 at 63-65 because we are 18-25 against the AL West. That includes 3-7 against LAA who is 51-77, 4-6 against the A's, who are 49-79, and 4-9 against the Astros, who are 64-64 only because they got to play us in so many games this year. And we can't finish in a tie with Houston because of how putrid we played against them this entire season as a tiebreaker. Its maddening.

I feel better about going on the road to Tampa and Milwaukee than I do about series at home against Anaheim and Sacramento. The most Ranger season ever...

With the 26 man roster, MLB teams can callup 2 player to get to 28. Still have to be on 40.

I believe one Pitcher and one Position player.

Gone are the days you could call up emerging players with anyone on your 40.

We'll get Walcott (unlikely), O'H (likely), or Osuna... or someone else.

So you basically have to think O'Hoppe is worth burning an option for a week of production.

I get that our offense stinks, but there's no reason to burn an option on a guy that has done nothing at the big league level in a year and a half but has had a hot few weeks in the minors hoping he can carry an offense for a week.

Fair point. We need Jansen to do something. He has been flat our terrible so far.

We already Optioned OH. I'm not an expert on the transfer of players, so I'm not going to claim to know the implications.

Whether it is Osuna or OH... I don't see any addition that I think has any real impact. I didn't think adding Carter in '23 was of any consequence when it happened.

I think OH is more likely than Osuna. But I also know Duran can be the 3rd C and having Osuna gives us more options in the field.

At the end of the day... we are who we are. Which team raises their game (pun intended) will likely be the team that makes the ALCS.

We add Jung and other teams likely have someone like that... Judge. I don't think any team in the AL is particularly compelling, including the Rays. The Rays are a team built to win the regular season. They've always been great in the regular season and then struggle in the playoffs.

There is nothing holding O'Hoppe down other than the Rangers working on stuff.
