Just help me think through this. How would it help us? We gonna sit Altuve? I mean we could trade Walker or Paredes but I don't see how this really helps with the current roster.

Apparently he's already back to full go in the field and it's the hitting that is still the question, but whatever - put them wherever you like in the field.

He hadn't established control of the catch, but the ball landed in the field of play, so it's a live ball.

Has to hit something in dead ball territory to be out of play. A railing, a spectator, etc. If it had glanced off a spectator after it came out of his glove, that would have been enough.

I also learned in the rule book that is an OF throws his glove up in the air at a ball he can't catch, but that isn't going to be a homer, the batter is awarded third base.
