I cited each AL 2nd place player and the relevant stat # for that reason.

A lot of the game telecasts have highlighted that only 4 players have achieved the "Major League Triple Crown" (leading both leagues in all 3 categories). Yordan is pretty close to being in that position.

Not to mention the 4 players are Hornsby, Gehrig, Ted Williams, and Mantle. You aren't just talking elite convo, you are talking about LEGENDS of the game.

While all bad, Burrows' numbers are better than what Javier and Blanco are giving us. They have worse ERAs and have accumulated -.7 bWAR in just 9 (combined) games started and 46.2 IP vs. Burrows' -1.0 bWAR in 17 GS and 94.2 IP.

Varsho has been horrendous. We'd be better off with almost anyone else out there

0 HRs and only 4 RBIs since June 23rd (37 games)

And only 2 HRs since May 13th
