Wade has more walks (7) in 43 PAs than Yainer does (6) in 180 PAs. Yainer's bat has been much improved the last couple of months or so it seems though.

IMO, when we decide to give up on this season we need to shutdown HB. His control has been terrible since coming back and I assume that just means he's compensating for something else.

(hopefully I'm just being doomer with this take)

The way we defended that play is another sign (to me) that this team is not well-coached. Henderson scoring from second on an IF grounder was another of those signs. Almost everyday, it is apparent.

He's 4 for 9 since the AB, 3 of which were doubles. Add in 3 walks and he's been on base 7 of his last 12 PAs since the AB (and was even better in Arlington). We've scored just 5 runs in the 3 games thus far.

Brutal.

Vazquez is No. 4 in SB attempts against and Yainer is tied for 11th in only 39 GS behind the plate according to Savant.

I suspect the reason teams don't run on us with even greater abandon is because our starting pitching is close to the worst in MLB and teams don't need to manufacture runs if we're going to hemorrhage them regardless.

With HB pitching they tried to press more today (5 SB attempts).

If we don't come back and win this game today, Espada needs to go. And forget being buyers at the deadline. If losing all three games to the Orioles doesn't convince the front office that it's time to do a sell off then I don't know what will.

Unfortunately for us the rangers are about to lose 2 of 3 so somehow we only drop a game on the division lead after this disaster of a weekend. Jim can keep the ruse that this a real contender going for awhile longer

But getting swept at home by the Orioles with no offense and your best pitcher crapping the bed could help Crane accept the reality of this team.

My hopes for a turnaround and potential playoff ended with this series.

Will be (barring a miracle comeback to where that one poster will quote this and say how dare you lose faith) 7 games under .500 after this game with 61 to play
