I think this was planned a few years back. She lives down the street from us, and by all accounts is a very active mom and doing evening telecasts a half hour away from your home eventually isn't worth it anymore.
And lets be honest, take Elvis and Beltre out of the clubhouse and that commute just isn't worth it anymore.

She seems like good people and I also enjoyed her on the broadcast. I hope she was in on this and it's best for everyone.
I didn't realize how lucky we were to have Elvis & Beltre until I look at the squad we run out there now that looks like a funeral crowd
I recall hearing an interview a couple of years back, I think with Jeff Wilson, where she said she was getting close to being ready to step down. I'm going to assume it was probably mutual.

I think it's mutual. Last year she backed off her schedule, I think she mostly filled in for Laura Stickels when Laura couldn't make it.
UIs Emily is still on board for other assignments they say. So she isn't leaving g the organization.

Obviously disregard Abi and Leody, who just aren't good, but I think those stats are good reinforcements for the fact that in baseball in particular you need to be moving off of aging guys that aren't necessarily HOF level talents. You might hit on a aging guy who's just a great hitter, and he could give you a good offensive season.
McCutchen is a great example of this even though I consider him closer to a HOF talent than just a good pro. But generally speaking I just don't think guys moving into their mid-30s are a recipe for success unless they are headed for Canton.

In case you guys don't know, the Rangers have an interesting ticket promo this year. $50 a month or $250 a season - as many games as you want to attend, excluding Opening Day. They only guarantee SRO tickets, but will upgrade it to actual seats 24 hours out. I bet there is a limit to how good the seat will be - probably only upper deck - but still an option for those who like to go to a lot of games and just hang out.
So Seong-Jun Kim is a legit two-way player huh? Just saw that in a minor league spring training game he was batting leadoff and also started the game. I know it's not uncommon to have guys play a little two-way in the minors etc. but this seems legit.
kinda like the deal they used to do for the 10 packs. I used to love those. Could use them all at once or go to 5 games with someone else or go to 10 games by yourself. may have to check this deal out.
